#37 05/08/2011 Happy Mother's Day!

We went for a picnic at Penrose Point Park. It was a lovely day full of tiny crabs, sand dollars and fun! Ellie likes to scoop a hand full of crab!

JJ takes its it all in.

I got a pincher!

This one was crab-eyeing me!Sand Dollars!Lilly didn't want to touch one with her bare hand , so here is a close up of one on her sleeve. Here are millions of them in their natural state. I had never even seen 1 live sand dollar before, and there they were! Not sure if they are always there, and I had just not been there when the tide was so low. Maybe it was their breeding season? Something with the moon phase?? End of days?!? EEEE

What ever it was, it was very cool!

Wikifact: Sand Dollars can live about ten years!

You can almost make out their cute little fuzzy feets.Big one little one with heart shell. For mother's day <3.Jimmie and Ba-ba.

He has a cookie in one hand and is reaching for Ellie's chip!

#36 05/07/2011 Birthday

This day was really husband's birthday, but what is the best gift ever for him? A nice weekend without wife and kids! So we went up to Gig Harbor and bugged Ba-ba and Jimmie. Ellie's birthday is a couple days later so we went shopping, had a great dinner and cake.

JJ likes to feed Ellie. "Open up" he says.

Birthday Girl. Big 14!!!

What a good big sis Lilly!

The flowers on the left are fresh from the garden. The flowers on the right are 1 week old.
